Accessing Functionality Not Properly Constrained by ACLs

In applications, particularly web applications, access to functionality is mitigated by an authorization framework. This framework maps Access Control Lists (ACLs) to elements of the application's functionality; particularly URL's for web apps. In the case that the administrator failed to specify an ACL for a particular element, an attacker may be able to access it with impunity. An attacker with the ability to access functionality not properly constrained by ACLs can obtain sensitive information and possibly compromise the entire application. Such an attacker can access resources that must be available only to users at a higher privilege level, can access management sections of the application, or can run queries for data that they otherwise not supposed to.

CWE-276
During installation, installed file permissions are set to allow anyone to modify those files.
CWE-285
The product does not perform or incorrectly performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action.
CWE-434
The product allows the upload or transfer of dangerous file types that are automatically processed within its environment.
CWE-693
The product does not use or incorrectly uses a protection mechanism that provides sufficient defense against directed attacks against the product.
CWE-732
The product specifies permissions for a security-critical resource in a way that allows that resource to be read or modified by unintended actors.
CWE-1191
The chip does not implement or does not correctly perform access control to check whether users are authorized to access internal registers and test modes through the physical debug/test interface.
CWE-1193
The product enables components that contain untrusted firmware before memory and fabric access controls have been enabled.
CWE-1220
The product implements access controls via a policy or other feature with the intention to disable or restrict accesses (reads and/or writes) to assets in a system from untrusted agents.
CWE-1297
The product does not adequately protect confidential information on the device from being accessed by Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) vendors.
CWE-1311
The bridge incorrectly translates security attributes from either trusted to untrusted or from untrusted to trusted when converting from one fabric protocol to another.
CWE-1314
The device does not write-protect the parametric data values for sensors that scale the sensor value, allowing untrusted software to manipulate the apparent result and potentially damage hardware or cause operational failure.
CWE-1315
The bus controller enables bits in the fabric end-point to allow responder devices to control transactions on the fabric.
CWE-1318
On-chip fabrics or buses either do not support or are not configured to support privilege separation or other security features, such as access control.
CWE-1320
Untrusted agents can disable alerts about signal conditions exceeding limits or the response mechanism that handles such alerts.
CWE-1321
The product receives input from an upstream component that specifies attributes that are to be initialized or updated in an object, but it does not properly control modifications of attributes of the object prototype.
CWE-1327
The product assigns the address 0.

CVE-2026-9508Incorrect permission settings on a critical resource in Suprema BioStar 2 (versions 2.9.3 through 2.9.11) that allow backup files to be publicly exposed when the administrator configures their path within the NGINX webroot. This vulnerability allows an attacker with network access to directly download backup ZIP files via ‘http(s)://[server]/download/…’ without requiring authentication. This exposes highly sensitive information that can lead to server impersonation, unauthorized access to databases, and lateral movement.
CVE-2026-47140vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, NodeVM blocks several dangerous Node.js builtins such as module, worker_threads, cluster, vm, repl, and inspector. However, the denylist misses process and inspector/promises. Both can be used from sandboxed code to reach host-side execution primitives. This allows sandboxed code to bypass the intended builtin restrictions and execute code in the host process. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4.
CVE-2026-45444Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in WP Swings Gift Cards For WooCommerce Pro allows Using Malicious Files. This issue affects Gift Cards For WooCommerce Pro: from n/a through 4.2.6.
CVE-2026-40772Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Upload in GeekyBot <= 1.2.2 versions.
CVE-2026-34938PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to version 1.5.90, execute_code() in praisonai-agents runs attacker-controlled Python inside a three-layer sandbox that can be fully bypassed by passing a str subclass with an overridden startswith() method to the _safe_getattr wrapper, achieving arbitrary OS command execution on the host. This issue has been patched in version 1.5.90.
CVE-2026-34208SandboxJS is a JavaScript sandboxing library. Prior to 0.8.36, SandboxJS blocks direct assignment to global objects (for example Math.random = ...), but this protection can be bypassed through an exposed callable constructor path: this.constructor.call(target, attackerObject). Because this.constructor resolves to the internal SandboxGlobal function and Function.prototype.call is allowed, attacker code can write arbitrary properties into host global objects and persist those mutations across sandbox instances in the same process. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.36.
CVE-2026-2761Sandbox escape in the Graphics: WebRender component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8.
CVE-2026-25893FUXA is a web-based Process Visualization (SCADA/HMI/Dashboard) software. Prior to 1.2.10, an authentication bypass vulnerability in FUXA allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain administrative access via the heartbeat refresh API and execute arbitrary code on the server. This issue has been patched in FUXA version 1.2.10.
CVE-2026-25885PolarLearn is a free and open-source learning program. In 0-PRERELEASE-16 and earlier, the group chat WebSocket at wss://polarlearn.nl/api/v1/ws can be used without logging in. An unauthenticated client can subscribe to any group chat by providing a group UUID, and can also send messages to any group. The server accepts the message and stores it in the group’s chatContent, so this is not just a visual spam issue.
CVE-2026-25881SandboxJS is a JavaScript sandboxing library. Prior to 0.8.31, a sandbox escape vulnerability allows sandboxed code to mutate host built-in prototypes by laundering the isGlobal protection flag through array literal intermediaries. When a global prototype reference (e.g., Map.prototype, Set.prototype) is placed into an array and retrieved, the isGlobal taint is stripped, permitting direct prototype mutation from within the sandbox. This results in persistent host-side prototype pollution and may enable RCE in applications that use polluted properties in sensitive sinks (example gadget: execSync(obj.cmd)). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.31.
CVE-2026-25150Qwik is a performance focused javascript framework. Prior to version 1.19.0, a prototype pollution vulnerability exists in the formToObj() function within @builder.io/qwik-city middleware. The function processes form field names with dot notation (e.g., user.name) to create nested objects, but fails to sanitize dangerous property names like __proto__, constructor, and prototype. This allows unauthenticated attackers to pollute Object.prototype by sending crafted HTTP POST requests, potentially leading to privilege escalation, authentication bypass, or denial of service. This issue has been patched in version 1.19.0.
CVE-2026-24815Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type, Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in datavane tis (tis-plugin/src/main/java/com/qlangtech/tis/extension/impl modules). This vulnerability is associated with program files XmlFile.Java. This issue affects tis: before v4.3.0.
CVE-2026-24729An unrestricted upload of file with dangerous type vulnerability in the file upload function of Interinfo DreamMaker versions before 2025/10/22 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary system commands via a malicious class file.
CVE-2026-21628A improperly secured file management feature allows uploads of dangerous data types for unauthenticated users, leading to remote code execution.
CVE-2026-0881Sandbox escape in the Messaging System component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 147 and Thunderbird < 147.
