CAPEC-77StandardDraft
Manipulating User-Controlled Variables
This attack targets user controlled variables (DEBUG=1, PHP Globals, and So Forth). An adversary can override variables leveraging user-supplied, untrusted query variables directly used on the application server without any data sanitization. In extreme cases, the adversary can change variables controlling the business logic of the application. For instance, in languages like PHP, a number of poorly set default configurations may allow the user to override variables.

CWE-15
One or more system settings or configuration elements can be externally controlled by a user.
CWE-94
The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intend
CWE-96
The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes code syntax before inserting the input into an executable resource, such as a library, configuration file, or template.
CWE-285
The product does not perform or incorrectly performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action.
CWE-302
The authentication scheme or implementation uses key data elements that are assumed to be immutable, but can be controlled or modified by the attacker.
CWE-473
A PHP application does not properly protect against the modification of variables from external sources, such as query parameters or cookies.
CWE-1321
The product receives input from an upstream component that specifies attributes that are to be initialized or updated in an object, but it does not properly control modifications of attributes of the object prototype.

CVE-2026-45829A pre-authentication, code injection vulnerability in version 1.0.0 or later of the ChromaDB Python project allows an unauthenticated attacker to run arbitrary code on the server by sending a malicious model repository and trust_remote_code set to true in the /api/v2/tenants/{tenant}/databases/{db}/collections endpoint.
CVE-2026-45132CloudPirates Open Source Helm Charts is a collection of Helm charts. Prior to commit fcf9302, a GitHub Actions workflow (generate-schema.yaml) exposes sensitive credentials (Personal Access Token and SSH signing key) to fork-controlled code due to unsafe checkout and credential handling practices. This issue has been patched via commit fcf9302.
CVE-2026-45131CloudPirates Open Source Helm Charts is a collection of Helm charts. Prior to commit fcf9302, a GitHub Actions workflow (pull-request.yaml) executes attacker-controlled code from fork pull requests in a privileged context, exposing repository secrets including Docker Hub credentials and tokens without requiring maintainer approval. This issue has been patched via commit fcf9302.
CVE-2026-45087Dalfox is a powerful open-source XSS scanner and utility focused on automation. Prior to 2.13.0, when dalfox is started in REST API server mode (dalfox server), the server binds to 0.0.0.0:6664 by default and requires no API key unless the operator explicitly passes --api-key. Because model.Options — including FoundAction and FoundActionShell — is deserialized directly from attacker-supplied JSON in POST /scan, and because dalfox.Initialize explicitly propagates those two fields into the final scan options without stripping them, any unauthenticated caller who can reach the server port can supply an arbitrary shell command that the dalfox process will execute on the host whenever a scan finding is triggered. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.13.0.
CVE-2026-44006vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, It is possible to reach BaseHandler.getPrototypeOf, which can be used to get arbitrary prototypes. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0.
CVE-2026-44005vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. From 3.9.6 to 3.10.5, vm2's bridge exposes mutable proxies for real host-realm intrinsic prototypes and then forwards sandbox writes into the underlying host objects with otherReflectSet() and otherReflectDefineProperty(), which lets attacker-controlled JavaScript running in a default VM or inherited NodeVM mutate shared host Object.prototype, Array.prototype, and Function.prototype from inside the sandbox This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0.
CVE-2026-43997vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, it is possible to obtain the host Object. There are various ways to use the host Object, to escape the sandbox, one example would be using HostObject.getOwnPropertySymbols to obtain Symbol(nodejs.util.inspect.custom). This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0.
CVE-2026-43898SandboxJS is a JavaScript sandboxing library. Prior to 0.9.6, sandbox-defined functions expose Function.caller, allowing sandboxed code to recover the internal LispType.Call runtime callback. That callback can then be invoked with attacker-controlled fake context and obj values to extract blocked host statics, recover the real host Function constructor, and execute arbitrary host JavaScript. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.6.
CVE-2026-42288ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 7.3.2, The fix for CVE-2026-39337 is incomplete. The pre-authentication remote code execution vulnerability in ChurchCRM's setup wizard via unsanitized DB_PASSWORD remains fully exploitable This vulnerability is fixed in 7.3.2.
CVE-2026-40911WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions 29.0 and prior, the YPTSocket plugin's WebSocket server relays attacker-supplied JSON message bodies to every connected client without sanitizing the `msg` or `callback` fields. On the client side, `plugin/YPTSocket/script.js` contains two `eval()` sinks fed directly by those relayed fields (`json.msg.autoEvalCodeOnHTML` at line 568 and `json.callback` at line 95). Because tokens are minted for anonymous visitors and never revalidated beyond decryption, an unauthenticated attacker can broadcast arbitrary JavaScript that executes in the origin of every currently-connected user (including administrators), resulting in universal account takeover, session theft, and privileged action execution. Commit c08694bf6264eb4decceb78c711baee2609b4efd contains a fix.
CVE-2026-39337ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 7.1.0, critical pre-authentication remote code execution vulnerability in ChurchCRM's setup wizard allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary PHP code during the initial installation process, leading to complete server compromise. The "$dbPassword" variable is not sanitized. This vulnerability exists due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2025-62521. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.0.
CVE-2026-27597Enclave is a secure JavaScript sandbox designed for safe AI agent code execution. Prior to version 2.11.1, it is possible to escape the security boundraries set by `@enclave-vm/core`, which can be used to achieve remote code execution (RCE). The issue has been fixed in version 2.11.1.
